Learning Anglo-French

I currently work as one of two Postdoctoral Research Fellows on the Learning Anglo-French project. Building on many of the questions that were at the heart of the earlier Learning French in Medieval England project, this larger-scale endeavour, funded by the ERC and UKRI, explores the broader corpus of ‘language-learning texts’ that circulated in Britain between c. 1200 and c. 1500. I have primary responsibility for producing the database that is one of the project’s key outputs, and which will offer a systematic overview of texts, manuscripts, and provenances. More information is available on the dedicated project website.
